Internship American University

One Part Internship. One Part College.
One Unmatched Gap Program.

American University’s Gap Program consists of a seminar course in American Politics, International Affairs, or Global Business, plus an internship. By exploring academic coursework, combined with site visits and guest speakers, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at international organizations, non-profits, media groups, and global business entities, all while gaining real-world experience with an internship.
The AU Gap Program is an excellent option if your student has just completed high school and is searching for a meaningful and challenging experience before formally starting college. Students can enroll in a single semester (fall or spring) or a full-academic year in the program.
Applications are now being accepted for Spring 2017 and Fall 2017 programs. The spring 2017 application deadline is October 30 and the fall 2017 application deadline is May 15.

American University's Gap Program is accredited by the American Gap Association.
