Dear CAP Advisor,
Tufts would like
to invite interested high school seniors the opportunity to experience academic
and social life by staying with an undergraduate, attending lectures provided
by professors, eating in the dining halls, and attending a performance of Tufts
musical and dance performance groups. The Voices of Tufts Diversity
Experiences are overnight programs sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate
Admissions to expose high school seniors to the diversity that exists on the
Tufts campus. While Voices has traditionally attracted participants from
varied backgrounds – including students of color, first generation
college-bound students, LGBT students, students from low-income backgrounds,
and students from rural communities – any high school senior interested in
learning more about diversity at Tufts is welcome to apply. Students may
discover that Tufts is a perfect match for them!
The Voices
Engineering Experience will take place October 19-20, 2017 with an
application deadline of 5PM EST on October 3, and the Voices Arts &
Sciences Experience will take place October 26-27, 2017 with an
application deadline of October 11 at 5PM EST. The priority deadline for
prospective Arts & Sciences students seeking travel assistance funding is
October 4.
The application
consists of a 100-word essay addressing your interest in the program, a high
school transcript (including senior year courses), test scores (if available),
and a recommendation from your college advisor. Travel assistance is
available for students for whom the trip to campus would present a financial
hardship. Please forward
this information to any senior who may be interested in Tufts University or
whom you feel is potentially a good match/fit and will benefit from a visit to
our campus. For more information about Voices and the application
process, please view our website at http://admissions.tufts.edu/voices.
Thank you for your time. Please call 617-627-3170 with any
additional questions.
Stay well and I
hope you are having a great start to the new academic year.
Best,
Denny Paredes
