National Honor Society requirements

Good morning Language Arts & Reading Teachers!  

On behalf of the National Honor Society, I request your assistance.  Please inform your 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students that NHS is accepting applications through 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9th.  (Teachers of 9th grade students, please share the requirements with your students too; although they will not be eligible until 10th grade, it is important that they also know the requirements.)

The requirements for acceptance are as follows: 

Character - honesty, integrity, no suspensions

Scholarship - minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA, no D's or F's as final grades

Leadership - prior leadership experience AND active membership in at least one school club 

Service - proof of prior community service
