Florida
Atlantic University goes to Self-reporting Academic Record (SSAR)
The University has adopted the Self-Reported Student
Academic Record (SSAR). This new method allows students to enter all courses
and associated grades that have been attempted, or will be attempted, for high
school and/or college credit without requiring the submission of an official
transcript to the university (official transcripts will be required after high
school graduation only).
Effective immediately, the process to apply for admission to
FAU consists of:
1.
COMPLETING THE ADMISSIONS APPLICATION ONLINE AT https://apply.fau.edu
and pay the $30 application fee.
2.
CREATE Self-reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) at www.selfreportedtranscript.com/ssar/Login.aspx.
We ask that students fill out their SSAR while looking at their transcript to
ensure accurate reporting.
3. SEND
SAT/ACT official test scores to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (SAT
code: 5229 | ACT code: 0729)
We encourage you to notify students to complete the SSAR
instead of sending transcripts to our Office. Using the SSAR will eliminate
delays in delivery and processing times for application review.
At this point, there are two options to complete the process. Students can
submit an FAU application before sending their SSAR. After completing the
admissions application students will be automatically redirected to the SSAR
website and their application information will be linked. If a student has already
applied, they will receive a confirmation e-mail with an application
confirmation number and an option to link their SSAR to FAU.
If a student has already made their SSAR and they need to
link it to your FAU application, they can go here and use their FAU application
confirmation number to link them. The student can find their FAU application
confirmation number in the email FAU sent them after they completed their
application.
Please feel free to contact a member of our Recruitment
staff at 561-297-3040 or admissions@fau.edu
if you have any questions about this new process. You can
also review the SSAR FAQ’s here.
Go Owls!
Kind Regards,
